Graduated in Chemistry from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in 2012. Master in New Materials in 2013 between the University of the Basque Country and the University of Cantabria (UC) and PhD degree in Materials Science and Technology in 2017 from UPV/EHU. Currently Associate Professor (since 2023) at Physical Chemistry Department at the UPV/EHU.
Specialized in the development and photophysical characterization of photoactive hybrid materials and innovative dyes for advanced applications.
Teaching in several Physical Chemistry subjects in the different Science Degrees of the Faculty of Science and Technology (UPV/EHU). Publication of a book and several teaching materials. Teaching research related to active methodologies and teaching publications (books, materials, articles and contributions to teaching conferences). Supervision of doctoral theses, final master thesis and bachelor thesis.
Dissemination activities: publications, research news and interviews (Ekaia, Elhuyar, IkerGazte, Basque Research, Euskadi Irratia, Photonics Spectra, EuroPhotonics, Materials today, ScienceDaily, Infosalus, Mujeres Steam of Innova Spain, Noticias de Gipuzkoa, agencia SINC, TecnoXplora of laSexta…) and workshops and outreach activities for society in general and young people in particular (Chemistry in Action, Faculty Open Days, talks in high schools, Science Week, Elhuyar Science Fair…).
