Functionalized nanosystems as drugs carriers for bioimaging, phototherapy and
theragnosis
Principal Investigator: ???
Nanomaterials, such as nanoparticles, nanocellulose or nanoclays, offer promising approaches for controlled drug delivery to target cells or microorganism. The chemically functionalization at the surface improve their stability and biorecognition to specific malignant or infectious tissues, improving the vehiculation of photoactivatable drugs. These systems are specifically designed for the bioimaging-guided treatment for cancer or microbial diseases.
